Mission
CSTD is focused on defining the requisite body of knowledge, and code of ethics, on developing the competencies of its members and on promoting and improving their collective reputation and image.
Values
Workplace Learning is the alignment of human and social skills and development with organization goals. It is a key driver of organization and institutional performance and, therefore, a critical element of Canada’s national economic strength and competitiveness and an important part of its social value.
A workplace learning professional has mastered a body of knowledge consisting of the principles of adult education and their practical application in the workplace, is a member of the CSTD and agrees to it’s code of ethics. The CSTD is the voice of this community - whether they work in business, not-for-profit, government or the military.
CSTD supports the growth and development of the training industry in Canada and internationally, and will devote resources to increasing trade where there is a clear benefit to its members’ professional development or interests.
