CSTD offers a number of different membership types to better recognize and accommodate individuals at all different stages of their career in training and development. Read more about our member benefits which apply to all of our membership categories.

Individual 

Connect with your workplace learning peers from across Canada with the CSTD Individual Membership. You'll gain a host of member benefits to help you achieve success in your chosen profession and you'll join the largest network of training and development professionals in Canada.

New Membership - $295 + Applicable Taxes

New memberships include a coupon with a value of up to $65 towards your first chapter event! 

Membership Renewal - $225 + Applicable Taxes

Certified Member

Members who have obtained a CTDP or CTP designation as a member of CSTD are recognized as a certified member.

Student

CSTD offers students enrolled in a post-secondary institution program a discounted rate on membership. Proof of enrollment, which includes the name of the program, school and student, as well as the date, is necessary to complete this registration. Applications for student membership must be received at least 60 days prior to graduation date. There are two types of student members:

Recognized Student Membership - $99 + Applicable Taxes

For students enrolled in programs which have been recognized for addressing the core competencies outlined in the CSTD Training Competency Architecture (TCA). Check out our list of recognized schools to see if you qualify as a recognized student. Faculty teaching in recognized programs also qualify for this rate.

Non-Recognized Student Membership - $149 + Applicable Taxes

For students who are enrolled in full-time programs which have not been recognized for addressing the core competencies outlined in the TCA.  Any student enrolled in a post-secondary program qualifies for this rate. Contact us and learn how you can get your program recognized.

Joint
When you sign up or renew a CSTD membership, you may also choose to register for a joint membership with ASTD.  It's an easy one-stop, one-time payment for registration and renewal to both organizations. From the time you purchase a joint membership, it takes up to two weeks to gain ASTD access. ASTD has two types of membership, both payable in Canadian dollars:

ASTD Classic - $210 + CSTD Membership

This includes all of the benefits of being an ASTD member including hard copy mailing.

ASTD Electronic - $150 + CSTD Membership

An economic and environmentally friendly option, this includes all of the benefits of ASTD membership provided electronically. 

Corporate Group
An organization or company with a group of five or more members qualifies for a corporate membership.  By joining as a corporate group, our members form rewarding professional relationships which address key business challenges.
