Certified Training Practitioner (CTP) 

Appropriate for the instructor, facilitator, trainer, master trainer

 

CTP candidates can attain the CTP through one of the following processes:

Steps   Regular Process   Portfolio Assessment Process

Required work experience

  2+ years part time

  8 + years full time

Demonstrate knowledge

 

  Pass a knowledge exam on the theories and   

  principles of:

  • adult learning
  • facilitation and instruction

  Provide evidence of a formal education in:

  • adult learning
  • facilitation and instruction

Demonstrate skill

 

 

Submit a facilitation video or participate

in live skill demo opportunity

Facilitation Submissions (PDF)

 

  Submit a summary of evaluations of facilitated  

  10 recent learning sessions

Submit references

 

 

Submit 1 reference who can validate

your skill as a facilitator

 

  4 client and/or employer references

  3 participant references

  Documentation to validate portfolio

  2. Choose the process which matches your work experience 
  3. Review:

    b. Portfolio Assessment Process: Instructions to Applicants (PDF)

www.cstd.ca with your user ID and password, go to MY CSTD - Certification
             b.
Portfolio Assessment Process: Complete and submit the registration form by email (certification@cstd.ca
